During April 2019, We will host Duck Seminars with the objective to select the best chefs in Bogotá through a postulation. It will be selected the best chefs in Bogota from HRI sector which each one of them will have to make a postulation to participate in the seminars. These seminars will provide technical education about on how to properly prepare American duck products, such as how to make the skin crispy, the meat juicy and pink, and how to cook on point and the right amount of time. During July 2019 (tentative dates), We will be conducted the 5th edition of Cooking Chef Competition in Bogota and Cartagena. The objective of the Competition is to increase US poultry products offerings in restaurants menus throughout Colombia as well as to educate chefs from Hotels, restaurants, and foodservice operators about the US products like turkey, duck, chicken, and rice in terms of flavor, price and quality. The competition will have two phases: The first phase, The participants will have to make an application of their professional profile describing their experience as a chef, They will also have to make a description of their recipe which must be included poultry meat and rice products as main ingredients. The best applications will be selected to participate in the Final Competition during July 2019. Second phase: The finalists will be competing to prepare a recipe based on modern or traditional techniques using US Poultry (duck, chicken or/or duck) and US rice as their main ingredients. The winner from each competition will be invited to a culinary educational excursion in Miami Florida, including a visit to America's Food and Beverage Show this coming September 2019. Location: Bogata and Cartagena, Colombia

During August 2019 (tentative dates), We will conduct 3 Cold Chains Seminar in Bogota, Barranquilla, and Cartegena. The objective of the seminars is to share information and procedures of the cold chain distribution of poultry during the importation process from the U.S. to Colombia as well as to explain thoroughly the differences between food safety and quality in frozen meat. The attendees will be governmental representatives from INVIMA, ICA, and DIAN; importers, logistics agencies and restaurant operators.
