Broiler exports set all-time highs through February

U.S. broiler exports for January through February this year set an all-time high in both volume and value, while turkey exports hit an all-time high in value according to new trade data released by the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service.
Broiler exports for the first two months were 615,685 metric tons, up 6.1 percent from the same period of last year, while export value reached $775.2 million, up 26.8 percent. Cumulative turkey exports for the first two months of this year were 31,694 metric tons, down 12.0 percent from the same period a year earlier, while export value reached $109.5 million, up 40.8 percent. Total egg exports (table eggs plus egg products in shell egg equivalent) for the first two months of 2022 decreased by 32.8 percent to 34.2 million dozen. The value of those exports dropped by 8.9 percent to $38.4 million.
