February 7, 2022
China’s imports of chicken meat (excluding paws) are projected to reach 800,000 metric tons in 2022, an increase of two percent over 2021, according to the newly released USDA Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) Global Agricultural Information Network (GAIN) semiannual report on the poultry industry in China.
Brazil continued to be the dominant supplier of chicken wings and legs to China in 2021, while the majority of U.S. poultry export volume and value came from chicken paws.
