USAPEEC China team resumes its trade servicing program
March 20, 2023
With the lifting of travel restrictions, the USAPEEC China team resumed its trade servicing program in China as of February. The first visit was made to Panyu in early March after three years of the program’s suspension.
Panyu houses the largest wholesale market for frozen meat products in China, with some 500 outlets, and it has become the information center for the trade in the frozen meat business.
The trade servicing trip was held in conjunction with the visit of Agricultural Minister-Counselor Robert Hanson from Beijing, Guangzhou ATO Director JonAnn Flemings, and marketing specialist Vivian Xian.
USAPEEC arranged for the USDA team to meet with three USAPEEC trading partner members at the Panyu office at Dailongtang’s Market, and attended a trade luncheon gathering of Chinese importers.
