February 1, 2021
The U.S. was the No. 1 exporter of chicken to China in December, according to General Administration of Customs China (GACC) data, the second month in a row it has ruled that roost.
China imported 66,100 tons of broiler meat from the U.S. last month, which again eclipsed the volume brought in from No. 2 Brazil, which settled at 53,800 tons. Russia, Thailand, and Argentina followed.
That gave the U.S. 42.6 percent of the China chicken market for the month. Brazil trailed with a 34.7 percent share.
No other exporting country reached double digits.
