Taiwan Reverse Trade Mission to the U.S.
USAPEEC welcomes a trade mission with 31 delegates from one of our leading export markets, Taiwan. USAPEEC Taiwan Director Karen Kong and Garrett Borkhuis and Wahid Qudus from the USAPEEC Trade & Technical Services team accompany the group and assist with arrangements.
Over the week, the delegation will have the opportunity to visit plants of three USAPEEC members in Georgia: Tyson Foods, Koch Foods, and Perdue. A heartfelt thank you to our USAPEEC members for their exceptional arrangements!
This visit is more than just a tour; it's also an educational experience. With 70 percent of the delegates being second-generation Taiwanese importers, the focus is on learning the ins and outs of the industry as they prepare to take the reins of their family businesses.
The objectives of the trade mission included: educating second-generation business owners about industry operations, encouraging increased purchases from existing and new importers, exploring raw and value-added products for the Taiwanese market, providing comprehensive company overviews, and learning about sustainable ESG strategies from each facility visited.
