USAPEEC egg seminar, webinar in Colombia aims to boost exports

USAPEEC, with sponsorship from the American Egg Board, recently produced a seminar and simultaneous digital webinar, “El Huevo y Ovoproductos,” that covered topics including U.S. shell egg production and quality and U.S. egg products, and featured a demonstration of processed eggs.
As part of the campaign to increase exports, the event was aimed at importers of U.S. egg products and at companies that use them as raw materials in the industrial sector in Colombia. Stakeholders in the food industry were identified and invited to participate in the event, either in person or virtually. Stakeholders included chefs, hotel groups, restaurants, bakeries, culinary schools, food factories, and sauce processing companies.
