Cornona Virus impact: the view from China

The Corona virus continued to spread in China this week, with nearly 64,000 people here confirmed to have the infection as of Thursday, and 1,381 deaths reported. To limit the spread of Corona virus through
migration, the Chinese government decided to extend the Chinese New Year (CNY) and lock down the entire HuBei province.
With the longer holiday, and workers stuck at home, there has not been enough labor available in processing plants and slaughter houses, and livestock and poultry could not be slaughtered and restocked in time. There also are no more available plugins at Shanghai and Tianjin seaport, and reefers cannot be transported to cold stores and discharged into cold stores.
