USAPEEC Mexico participates at Iowa Egg Export Symposium

The USAPEEC Mexico office was invited to provide an egg market update and to discuss the current effects of the pandemic at the Iowa Egg Export Symposium last week.
After an update on the status of U.S. egg exports from USAPEEC’s Mary Alice Cain, USAPEEC Mexico Director Alma Lilia de Leon and USAPEEC Mexico Marketing Manager Liliana Solis focused on the impact of the pandemic on the HRI sector. In some positive news, U.S. table eggs and egg product imports increased 90 percent in the first 10 months of 2020 compared with 2019 mainly due to good pricing, availability, and shortages in Mexico during the initial months of the lockdown.
