Market Report: TAIWAN
December 7, 2020
Taiwan has become an increasingly essential market for U.S. poultry exports, especially for broiler meat.
A record was set in 2019 with 208,000 metric tons of product valued at more than $186 million shipped to the market, making it the fourth leading destination for U.S. poultry exports.
So far, 2020 is on pace to break those record numbers with nearly 190,000 metric tons of product, valued at more than $177 million, exported from January through September, a 24 percent increase in volume and a 28 percent increase in value when compared to the same months in 2019.
