U.S. Turkey, Broiler Exports Post Volume Gains through October

U.S. turkey exports registered gains in both volume and value, while broiler exports increased slightly in volume for January through October this year, according to new trade data released by USDA Foreign Agricultural Service.
Cumulative turkey exports for January through October 2019 increased by 5.2 percent in volume and 8.3 percent in value, while broiler exports increased by 0.3 percent in volume but decreased by 0.4 percent in value.
Egg exports (table eggs plus egg products in shell egg equivalent) decreased by 1.1 percent in volume and were down 13.7 percent in value.
Broiler exports for January-October 2019 were 2,816,133 metric tons, up 0.3 percent from the same period of last year, while export value was $2.888 billion, down 0.4 percent.
