U.S. broiler and egg exports up through first three quarters of 2020
November 9, 2020
Through three quarters, 2020 remains a good news year for U.S. broiler and egg exports. For the first nine months, shipments of each were up both in volume and in value worldwide, according to new trade data released by the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service.
In the month of September alone, there were sizable gains in broiler exports to Mexico, Canada, Colombia, South Africa, and Ghana, turkey shipments to Haiti, Jamaica, and Panama, and table egg exports to Mexico, Hong Kong, and Haiti.
As has been the case most of the year, the value of the China market can’t be overlooked. Once again, it led all other markets in the value of U.S. broiler exports, making it the sixth consecutive month it has done so.
